Gabe became a Jumet Charitable Foundation board member in 2017.  As a longtime friend of Jan and Julie, he was excited to join the board and increase his involvement with the JCF.  Gabe is the Director of Student Services for the New Brighton Area School District.  His goal is to help all students achieve personal success on the foundation provided through educational excellence.  Gabe has worked in the Western Beaver County School District as an elementary school principal and as a teacher for the Blackhawk School District. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education through Slippery Rock University and Principal Certificate through the University of Pittsburgh.  Gabe is currently working to complete a Master’s Degree in Special Education at Slippery Rock University.

Much of Gabe’s life energy has been spent working with students and organizing events for children (and adults who are young at heart!).  He was the founding race director for the New Brighton and Blackhawk Triathlons, as well as several 5K and 10K races in the area.  He currently serves as secretary for the New Brighton Area Recreation Commission, assisting with events and guiding recreational improvements for his home community.  Gabe is a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in New Brighton and member of the Parish Pastoral Council.  He is also a member of the New Brighton Education Foundation, New Brighton Pool Board, and On Mission Commission for the Diocese of Pittsburgh.

When not working with the students, staff, and families of the New Brighton Area School District or serving his community, Gabe enjoys gardening, canning vegetables, making (and tasting) wine, kayaking, bicycling, obstacle course racing, and hiking.  Recently married, Gabe lives with his wife, Nadia, in Daugherty Township with their dog, Mason
