Lia graduated from Blackhawk High School in 2014 and completed her undergraduate studies at The Pennsylvania State University, The Behrend College where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 3.5 years. During her time at Penn State Behrend she participated in Behrend Studio Theatre productions and was an active member of Lion Scouts, Lion Ambassadors and Gamma Sigma Sigma Service Sorority. She also worked as a tour guide and resident assistant during her time at Penn State Behrend.

Lia then continued on to optometry school at Nova Southeastern University where she was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists, Student Ambassadors and American Optometric Student Association. She was also a proud member of the Student Volunteer Organization Services to Humanity where she participated in a mission trip to Ecuador that provided free eye exams to over 500 community members. Lia was also selected as a member of the prestigious Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society for her leadership and commitment to the community as an optometry student. In the spring of 2022, Lia earned her optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University and is now a practicing Doctor of Optometry at MyEyeDr in Vanport, PA. Lia enjoys spending time with her dog Gemma, cooking and doing puzzles.
