Julie founded the Jumet Charitable Foundation, along with her husband Jan, in 2005. Julie is currently a fitness instructor in the Scottsdale/Phoenix, AZ area, and in her hometown of Darlington, Pa.  Prior to becoming a fitness instructor, Julie taught first grade in the Blackhawk School District in Beaver Falls, PA for nineteen years before retiring.  Julie truly loved teaching.  She was progressive in her teaching style.  Julie was always willing to try new teaching techniques that would benefit her students.  She was involved in the Blackhawk Education Association Scholarship Committee, Curriculum Development Committee, Report Card Revision Committee, and New Teacher Induction/Mentoring Program while at the Blackhawk School District.  Julie’s love for education was the momentum for the starting of the Jumet Charitable Foundation.

Julie is an alumnus of Edinboro University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Elementary Education, and Youngstown State University with a Master’s of Science degree in Education.  She is Founder, Corporate Secretary, and a Board Member for the Jumet Charitable Foundation.  Julie is also a past Board Member of the American Cancer Society (Beaver County, PA) where she co-chaired the Gala Auction and Bid for Bachelors events for several years. 

Julie and her husband spend their time in Scottsdale AZ, Boston MA, and Julie’s hometown of Darlington, PA.  Julie enjoys the beauty of nature, music, animals, fitness classes, outdoor activities and cooking healthy meals.
